This year, Rev. Dr. Matthew Lenahan will lead us on an exploration of the Celtic spiritual tradition through the work of John Philip Newell. Celtic spirituality reconnects us with the sacred that is found in everyone and every created thing that exists. Reoriented toward the blessing presence of the divine one teaches us that Earth itself holds the mystery of God’s incarnation. And that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection is the true pattern of that mystery awaiting all of us.
The books “A New Harmony” and “Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul” will inform the teaching and learning for the day. Newell’s Celtic Prayer books will shape the day’s contemplative practices.
