Camp Nawakwa, a ministry of the Lutheran Camping Corporation of Central Pennsylvania, is seeking a Head Cook to oversee and implement its food service program. This position is responsible for menu planning, meal preparation, food ordering, and kitchen staff supervision to ensure a high-quality dining experience for campers and staff.
Qualifications:
- Degree in food service or relevant experience in:
- Menu planning
- Cooking for large groups
- Kitchen equipment use
- Ordering food
- Supervising kitchen staff
- Safe Serve Certification required
- Strong leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills
- A commitment to serving within a faith-based camping ministry
Responsibilities:
- Plan menus in collaboration with the Camp Director
- Order food and supplies
- Prepare all meals and snacks
- Organize cookouts
- Supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and compliance with PA Department of Health regulations
